Day 2

Sorry it's taken so long to report but it's been very hectic around here as you could imagine.
Last night at puppy pick up, the organizer was running late because of the volume of puppies they got. Finally at 11:30 pm we got to meet them. I had mentioned before we were supposed to be getting 3 babies and 1 adult, but another foster was able to help so we got 2 babies and 1 adult. They came with all their supplies, food, and medicine needed to care for them. So driving home we set up our game plan. What we thought was going to be an hour of work turned into a bed time of about 4 am! We set up the puppy palace and put them in there. They decided that it was the PERFECT time to make use of the puppy pads. (Their aim was a little off) So we had to totally redo their home. While Dave was attending to that, I had to introduce our adult to our home. She was a little worried about it so she too thought this was a PERFECT time to potty. I grabbed out the shampooer and started cleaning up. After 2 poops and 2 pees we figured that they all couldn't possibly have any more left in them so bath time it was. After bath time, they were so tired. Thank goodness! So were we.
Bay aka black: He's the black baby. He's very fluffy and soft and kind of looks like a mini Sampson. He seems very independent and likes to eat. He's a lab healer mix but looks like just lab. I'll update more on him the more we get to know him.
Fern aka blue: He's bays brother so he's the blue healer baby. He acts like he's the alpha male and doesn't like anyone telling him what to do. His eyes are very convincing too. Just the poster boy for puppy eyes.
Galaxy: She's the "adult" (I'm talking maybe 8 months) They say she's a shepherd mix but as you can see, she has 2 different colored eyes. Maybe a little huskey in her. She is very skiddish. It takes a while to earn her trust. She needs a ton of love and I'm happy to do that for her.
Happy to report, all very healthy so far. Dave and I had no idea the reward we feel we have received. I can't imagine how it will feel when they find their forever home.

Day 1

Dave and I have decided to start fostering puppies for rmpuppyrescue.org. We just got our 61 page manual and feel a bit overwhelmed. We are getting 3 puppies and one adult! Pick up time is tonight at 10 pm. Feels like eternity! We just can't wait to meet them and help them.

My goal from creating this blog is to share with friends and family the joy of saving these lives. And of course to feed your days with cuteness and happiness. Documenting our time with them is important to me because these puppies will find forever homes and will be leaving ours. I don't want to forget any detail about each puppy.

Tomorrow I will be posting pictures and back stories for each dog we get. So stay tuned and thank you for your support.
